Here we introduce you to the concept ...
1. Duties of the club:
- campaigning for a DUV membership
- collecting and forwarding of DUV membership application forms
- regional contact authority for all questions concerned with the DUV
- regional contact authority for all ultra marathon runners – including those not belonging to any club – concerning training guidance etc. This can of course be a means of gaining new members for the club itself
- link to the DUV homepage on the welcome page of the club’s homepage
2. Benefits for the club:
- representation of the promotion posts on our homepage with a respective link on the club homepage
- promotion for the club and additional reputation because of the competence in the field of ultra marathon running confirmed by the DUV
- for each new DUV member recruited, the club is remunerated by five euros by the end of the year
- plate made of glass to be fixed at the club house
- five issues of the magazine “Ultra Marathon” for the club
- a fair chance of recruiting ultra marathon runners as club members
3. Prerequisites for the club:
- successful ultra marathon runners must be members of the club (participation and good results in national championships, international events, team events)
- competent coaches who can ensure counselling with training questions
- good and working administrative structure
- long-distance running groups with different running paces
- other viable logistic requirements, such as running track, stadium, club premises, club house, expertise in organising running events, etc.
4. Procedure:
- the partner clubs are nominated by the DUV executive committee
- the number of possible partner clubs is limited to 15 clubs
- the status as a partner club comes under scrutiny every other year by the sports commissioner, especially with regard to the collaboration over the previous two years. The sports commissioner will then report his findings to the DUV executive committee which will consequently decide whether the status as a partner club be maintained for a further period of two years
- applications of the clubs may be made to the sports commissioner of the DUV who, after consulting the application documents and making contact with the person responsible, will submit the application to the DUV executive committee for a final decision
